Anna Diaz UC Berkeley, Legal Studies and Public Policy I decided to attend CSM after not establishing a distinct path to pursue after graduating high school. During this time, I felt I needed the opportunity and time to explore my interests and build academic skills. When I started at CSM, my goals were to get involved on campus, explore different fields, and work to find balance between my academic and work life. I was able to meet these goals by getting involved at Transfer Club as a member and the President, working as an Academic Tutor at the Learning Center, and taking classes from different majors I considered. I feel the resources that were particularly helpful during my time at CSM were Counseling Services, the Honors Project, and Transfer Club. Each of these services deeply enriched my experiences as a person and student while at CSM.

If I were to give advice to a prospective student who is considering CSM, I would tell them to go out their way to advocate for themselves as they pursue their goals. I found there were a lot of services and people wanting to support me but I had to seek them out or ask for help.
