Alani Frias San Diego State University, Graphic Design Emphasis, Applied Arts and Sciences Attending CSM has given me the opportunity to improve my academic and professional life. My goals to achieve at CSM was to find a major I was passionate about and become a competitive applicant to transfer to a four year institution. By using all of the resources offered I was able to develop my leadership skills, learn the transfer pathways, earn financial aid, and make lifelong connections. Being a member of the promise program was incredibly important to my success in college, they not only helped cover the cost of tuition and books but also provided me with amazing counseling. I also was involved with many other organizations at CSM. For example, I was the vice president for Transfer Club, a member on the Programming Board, an officer for Alpha Gamma Sigma, and a teammate on the CSM Cheerleading squad. All of these experiences contributed to my success at CSM and helped me achieve my educational goals. I am thankful for all of the passionate faculty and professors I have had the opportunity to work with. I would highly recommend considering CSM to gain leadership skills, transfer knowledge, make meaningful connections, and achieve your educational goals.
